Complex Medical Dermatology Fellowship

This fellowship has an emphasis on caring for outpatients with complex medical conditions such as autoimmune blistering diseases, rheumatologic/dermatologic diseases, severe eczemas, severe psoriasis, cutaneous diseases with systemic manifestations, and complications of immunosuppression and transplantation using systemic immunosuppressants and biologics used to treat complex medical dermatologic conditions. Fellows will improve their skills in the evaluation and management of skin disorders in critically ill hospitalized patients and in the management of hospitalized patients with severe dermatologic diseases. Fellows will be mentored through determining a distinct area (niche) for career development and will conduct research and complete publications in. Upon completion of the fellowship, fellow should be well equipped to become junior faculty practicing medical dermatology and conducting research in an academic dermatology department.

Eligibility Requirements: Completion of Dermatology residency anticipated by time of fellowship. CA Medical License.
Salary: PGY-5
Accreditation Status: Not ACGME accredited.
